Gotchya Day!

I cannot hardly wait for this day - Gotchya Day. This is the infamous, highly anticipated day in adoptive families when you finally get your child(ren). It's the day when you forever say, "I gotchya!" My new fellow adoptive mommy, Jill, sent me this link. Immediately, tears! Grab a tissue and enjoy the next 10 minutes of your life.



There were 2 aspects that prompted my tears, besides the fact that I miss my babies so much.

1. The solo tear of this momma when she kissed her baby girl for the first time. That single tear has so much hope, dreams, hard work, prayers, fears, and anticipation within it. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to contain it all into 1 tear. I predict a waterfall in my first kiss.
2. The kisses of the orphanage caregivers was overwhelming. These women [in orphanages all over the world] that care for orphans before they are placed in their forever families are amazing! They care for countless orphans - pour their love on them - and then send them into new families. That is tremendously humbling, sacrificial, and loving acts of service they give. God bless these women!

I hope you enjoy. And as you watch, would you pray for our little ones to join Brian & I in their forever family sooner than later?

Prayer Points Answered!

Why should I be surprised? We have the best family and friends praying us through this process! Here's the update:

PRAYER POINTS:

• Protection of our oldest child - he/she is alive in the world out there...waiting for us. Ongoing prayer!
  
• Our grant requests to be expedited and our $6500 will be met within the next 2 weeks. (Bold Prayer!) ANSWERED!!!! God's provided over & above this request. Thank you oh-so much to those of you who've given to our babies. We also received our first grant for $2500 today!!!
• We would wait patiently and prepare diligently. It's happening! It's going to be a couple more weeks before our dossier can be sent [money transferred], but it's happening and we feel peaceful about waiting almost a month extra [between when our dossier was ready to send and when it actually will be sent].
  

Dossier to D.C!!!

Today was a monumental, mystical, supernatural, out-of-body day!
OUR DOSSIER IS HEADED TO D.C for the final authenticating process!

After 4 months of diligent, belaboring work compiling 2 separate documents representing every area of our life, bodies, and souls, we are finished with our paperwork!

Now What? We wait for our agency financial balance (approx $6500 right now) to be rectified before our dossier will be shipped to Ethiopia. At that point, we'll be on the wait list!!!!
